Earth Standing Still sends an email:
Event: Focused Non-Buying Day
Date : Oct. 5, 2006
What to do: Do not buy any fast food. For example, do not buy food from McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, or any similar chain.
In an effort to demonstrate our strength through unity to let our government know that we are a peaceful but powerful economic force, I agree to not buy anything from any fast food chain on Oct. 5, 2006.

Clicking on "I agree to participate" will result in the following:
- You will receive an email confirming your participation.
Why do we do this? It lets you know that your confirmation has been received. We also hope that it will help increase each member's sense of connectedness with the group.
- You will receive an email the day before the event as a reminder.
- Your pledge will be counted.
Assuming enough members agree to participate, Earth Standing Still will send notices to various media services noting the number of participants, making the action and intent of the group visible to the public. Individual information will not be revealed, only the number of people participating.
